The Gold Team edged the Green Team in the annual “Green vs. Gold” Day of Giving contest but Keuka College students are the true winners.
More than 300 alumni, students, faculty, staff, trustees, and friends joined forces on a day that saw 153 supporters represent the Gold Team – those who graduated in odd-numbered years – in the friendly 24-hour competition. That was three better than the 150 Green Team participants.
Just as importantly, the two teams combined to raise $104,000 for the College and its students.
The financial support goes toward important areas that have a direct impact on student success, including financial aid, scholarship awards, faculty and program support, and campus-wide facility upgrades.
“These past few years have been challenging for everyone, but Keuka College alumni continue to live our mission and our values,” said Senior Director of Alumni Relations and Development Billy Jo Jayne ’10. “It gives me great pride to be counted among this group. Our alumni and friends continue to demonstrate their confidence in the College and provide a vital infusion of support for our students. We can’t thank the Keuka College family enough.”
