It’s one of those rare contests where everyone comes out a winner.
Keuka College alumni took part in a friendly matchup Friday to see who could generate the most participation during the College’s annual Day of Giving competition, called Green vs. Gold. The Green Team is represented by alumni who graduated in even-numbered years; the Gold by their odd-numbered counterparts.
Gold took bragging rights by turning out a total of 174 donors. The Green Team was no slouch, providing 160 donors of its own.
All told, the collegial competition resulted in $126,150 in donations. That makes the real winners Keuka College’s students because every dollar goes to help provide scholarships, campus improvements, instructional support, and a nurturing family atmosphere.
“This past year has been challenging – especially for students, but for everyone,” said Keuka College Senior Director of Alumni Relations and Development Billy Jo Jayne ’10. “So to see our alumni and friends demonstrate this level of assistance is a welcome vote of confidence in the College and a vital infusion of support for our students. We can’t thank the Keuka College Family enough.”
